You qualify for a FREE NSPE national student membership if you:

• Are a student enrolled full-time in an ABET-accredited engineering program, or an engineering or pre-engineering program that has an articulated or transfer agreement with ABET or an accredited program; or a student enrolled full-time in a graduate level engineering program (university and graduation date must be completed on your application).

• Live in one of the following states (states not listed here may charge a minimal fee to join): AK, CA, DE, FL, GA, IN, MD, MI, MT, ND, NJ, NV, PR, TN, UT, VA, WY.

Looking for a job after college? Visit the NSPE Job Board to search for jobs by location, salary, engineering discipline, and receive a biweekly newsletter of the latest openings.

NSPE, through its Mentoring Programs, matches professional engineers with students to offer guidance about passing the FE exam, potential career tracks, or about the engineering profession in general.

As a student member, you are eligible for NSPE Scholarships. NSPE offers scholarships for high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students.

NSPE student members can view a number of Free Web seminars on topics such as ethics and professional development.

News of the Profession
As you prepare for an engineering career, you'll receive PE, the only magazine dedicated to the engineering profession. The magazine is packed with articles covering the latest issues in licensing, education, employment, ethics, legal and liability issues, and other topics.

Members-only e-newsletters, like NSPE Update, Daily Designs, and the U.S. Engineering Press Review, offer the latest news on shifting trends and new technologies.

Students also get the Young PE Quarterly, designed for young engineers and students with useful information on entering the engineering profession, getting licensed, and climbing the career ladder.

Networking Opportunities
Through national Interest Groups and local events, student members can begin building a network of colleagues across the country and in their area.

Each year, the NSPE Annual Meeting brings together engineers, clients, and vendors to make important connections. The Young Engineers' Forum, free for students and young engineers, is held during the Annual Meeting and covers topics designed by fellow young engineers to help you achieve your professional goals and provides the opportunity to meet colleagues from around the country.

Several universities have established NSPE Student Chapters that give student members a chance to participate in local outreach efforts and network with fellow engineering students.
